The napolians here are AMAZING! So are the chourico rolls and bakery style pizza. Most of their other pastries and pies are very good as well, but from what I hear stay away from the cakes. They also travel to Portugal often, so be prepared for them to be closed for weeks at a time.

Where do we start…..you walk in to the bakery, buy enough food for an army and still have most of your money still in your wallet. From pizza to masa, pulled pork sandwiches, sweets and soups they have it all. I am obsessed with their brownies. The problem is as Chris said below, they go on lengthy vacations back to Portugal and often.

Best Bakery in New England. I always make a trip to this bakery on sunday mornings carrying on a tradition that started when I was a child. Get to the bakery early because a lot of people head there in the morning and the lines wrap around and out the door when it’s busy. Now they take credit/debit cards which makes it easier for a lot of people especially on the weekends. The bakery also now offers cacouila in containers to make your own sandwiches at home. I pick up several chourico rolls for lunch as well.

Daily hours are posted there as well. I was thrilled to find that they are still in business! My grandmother lived up the block when I was a child and I vividly remember untying the cotton string from around the cardboard box that my mother brought up from the bakery down the hill. The best cream filled treats I’ve ever tasted. (Being the granddaughter of a baker, I have a taste for quality!) You absolutely MUST try the bismarcks!
